Held October 20-21, 2017 Congress, held in the "President Hotel" in Kiev was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of a scientific dental school in Ukraine.
The Congress aroused great interest, including the symposium "Effective protocols for the rehabilitation of dental patients using dental implantation."
The opening ceremony was attended by guests from Germany, Dr. Georg Baker, Vice President of the Association of Oral Implantologists of Germany, and Denis Shilenko, Doctor of the European Dental Center.
In his opening remarks, Dr. George Baer stressed the need for Ukraine's integration into the European community, the transition to European standards for the provision of medical assistance and, in particular, in the field of dentistry.
After that, Dr. Baer, together with Dr. Louise Kruger, conducted a two-hour lecture on "Rehabilitation of patients with complicated anatomical and topographic conditions using a small number of implants," which described the most promising direction for the immediate rehabilitation of patients with non-removable orthopedic structures on implants.
It is especially interesting that after a short coffee break, the head doctor of the European Dental Center, the only expert in Ukraine of the Association of Oral Implantologists of Germany, Vadim Klimentyev, read the report on the possibilities of immediate rehabilitation of patients with non-removable orthopedic structures in complex anatomical and topographical conditions, in which he cited a number of his own clinical cases which were held at the European Dental Center.
This fact indicates that the tactics of treating patients, and even the direction of clinical thought, fully correspond to the modern European approach. Small invasiveness, a departure from risky operations, speed of rehabilitation, high attention to the quality of service delivery fully meets the highest European standards.
In concluding remarks, Dr. Baer highlighted the high level of the symposium, its organization, the quality and relevance of the reports presented and the need for Ukraine's early integration into the European community.
